With the development of technology, cars are getting smarter and are moving towards driverless technology. Driverless car technology combines sensors, computers, information and communication, automatic control, navigation and positioning, machine vision, artificial intelligence, and other technologies to sense the road environment, automatically plan the driving route, and control the vehicle to reach a predetermined goal. The driverless car training bench is mostly used for teaching unmanned vehicles. The driverless vehicle training bench includes a braking system, a steering system, and a drive system.The braking system includes a brake sensing unit, a hydraulic unit, and a brake unit for independent tyre braking control. The steering system consists of an active motor and a booster motor.The active motor is used to follow the target steering angle, whilst the booster motor is used for steering assistance. The drive system involves a sensor, a controller, and an actuator structure. The sensor collects road condition and body information, and the controller generates control commands based on a predetermined travel plan, road condition, and body information, and sends them to the actuator to execute said control commands, etc.

The Driverless Vehicle Training Bench 

The driverless vehicle training bench can be developed cross-platform and supports a wide range of application scenarios. The training bench can also be integrated with accessory devices to achieve SLAM autonomous path planning, navigation, obstacle avoidance and other functions, suitable for secondary development. Furthermore, the training bench provides ROS-based drivers and API interfaces, accurate PID control, and motion models for hardware integration and further development. In addition, Beifang provides its rich tutorials and materials as a key navigation operation, significantly lowering the user’s threshold so that users can quickly get started and perform effectively for secondary development. The code is entirely open source, and the software is continuously updated in order to provide users with a better experience.
